Who am I?

Who am I? My mother calls me Christian because she wanted me to act like one in spite of the difficulties she was battling at the time. She also named me Deon in hopes that I would grow up to be successful (like the legendary football player Deion Sanders).

Well, I consider myself a writer who absolutely loves anything that has to do with music, singing, and helping people! I have two notebooks full of songs that I’ve written over the past 8-10 years or so. My friends started calling me a “grammar Nazi”. I disagree, but if I can be random but truthful, it’s killing me that this page hasn’t been edited.

I can be very quiet, and although I appreciate being around people tremendously, I thoroughly enjoy seclusion. I can sit at my desk or in a nice private, outside area working for hours.

Ever since I was 3 years old, I’ve wanted to be a pastor, gospel recording-artist, and entrepreneur. I’m currently attending California Baptist University in hopes to accomplish these goals.

I started my first business when I was 14 years old called NGC (New Generation of Christianity) Magazine, which is now a nonprofit Christian magazine for young adults.

I found that I constantly have so much to do that if I don’t procrastinate, I don’t get to focus on the things I need in order to maintain my sanity. Of course, if I do procrastinate, then there are many things on my calendar and daily agendas that are simply left undone. I’m learning to balance between the two, and sadly it isn’t easy.

At this stage in my life, I’m learning to be proud of myself, reward myself for the work I do, and be okay with my failures and mistakes.

Join me on this journey, and I pray you’ll learn some things along the way! Oh, and don’t forget to leave a comment before you go.

    1. Goodness, all of a sudden WordPress has begun making me approve comments, and I was not informed. Sorry I did not see this. Your comment alone is an inspiration to me, even as I see it this late. Thank you. God bless!
